Lloyd’s List reports that on 8 June, the 36,800 dwt bulk carrier Eternity C, operated by Cosmoship Management, a Greece-based company, was attacked by the Houthis in the Red Sea. As a result of the attack, two crew members suffered severe injuries, two were reported missing, and the ship’s engine was damaged.

A day earlier, the Houthis claimed the attack on the Magic Seas. The 63,000 dwt bulk carrier Magic Seas sank as a result of the damage sustained, the crew were all successfully evacuated.

These incidents occurred shortly after Israel launched an air attack on targets in Yemen. The Houthis have confirmed that they are set to attack any ships working in Israel’s interests.
